CV & Biography

Alayna Wong is from Southern California and is currently dancing with Ballet North Texas.  She trained at Huntington Academy of Dance in California and International Ballet Academy in Washington state, as well as at summer programs with American Ballet Theatre, Ballet Austin, and Oklahoma City Ballet.  She danced with Oklahoma City Ballet as a trainee for their 2018-2019 season and performed in Septime Webre’s ALICE (in wonderland) and Robert Mills’ The Nutcracker.  In 2023, she graduated summa cum laude from the University of Oklahoma with a BFA in Ballet Pedagogy and a minor in General Business.  With the OU School of Dance, her performance repertoire included George Balanchine’s Serenade, Jirí Kylián’s Falling Angels, Penny Saunders’ Deux Amours, Gerald Arpino’s Viva Vivaldi, Yury Yanowsky’s Train of Thought, and Willem Christensen’s The Nutcracker; in 2022, she toured with OU to Mexico City to perform Kylián’s Falling Angels at the International Contemporary Dance Festival of Mexico City.  For the 2023 Five Moons Dance Festival, she was fortunate to be selected to represent Moscelyne Larkin, performing the Peoria/Eastern Shawnee variation from The Four Moons by Miguel Terekhov and an honor dance with Peoria Nation Buckskin dancers.  She was a company member with Central Oklahoma Ballet Theatre for their 2022 and 2023 summer seasons and has been a principal guest artist with Hot Springs Children’s Dance Theatre since 2021.
